Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York
Dear Swiss citizens, friends of Switzerland and partners in the United States:
I am grateful for the warm return and the welcome you have extended to me and my family. It has been a real pleasure to meet so many members of the Swiss community and friends of Switzerland in New York and throughout the states in our Consular Jurisdiction.
Together with my team at the Consulate General, our mission is to promote the interests of Switzerland and of Swiss citizens. In a continuous effort to strengthen Swiss-American relations, friendship and common understanding, we support many projects and events throughout the region that aim at furthering the dialogue and exchange between Swiss and Americans in all fields of life. For promoting this friendship among our people and countries, I am proud to be able to count on the support of the many of you – the Swiss citizens who act as unofficial Ambassadors of Switzerland in the American towns and cities throughout our consular region, as well as the American friends who so importantly contribute to the close partnership between our two great countries.
Our website has been built to provide you with information on Switzerland, a multilingual and multicultural country of 8 million inhabitants beautifully located in the heart of Europe, and its economic, political, and bilateral relations with the United States. You can also read about administrative procedures, current cultural programs, and find information about studying, working and traveling in both countries, in addition to other useful links and contacts.
We invite you to explore all that Switzerland has to offer and hope that you find what you're looking for here. For insights into all things Swiss and news on Swiss events in New York, please follow us on our social media channels. We also welcome your comments and feedback at email@example.com.
My team and I are at your service, we look forward to staying in touch with you.
André Schaller, Ambassador and Consul General
