Consulate General of Switzerland in New York

Academic Internship:

The Consulate General in New York also offers 3 internship positions to qualified candidates in the following sections:

  1. Economic Affairs and Communication
  2. Culture and Education
  3. Swiss Business Hub in New York and San Francisco

The purpose of these academic internships is to offer students or recent graduates an opportunity to discover the activities of a Swiss representation abroad and to become familiar with the diverse aspects of a diplomatic career.

All positions are full-time (40 hours per week) and run for 6 months. Remuneration for the positions is USD 2,700 per month.

Trade Commissioner

The Consulate General of Switzerland in New York is looking for a qualified candidate for a permanent position as Trade Commissioner for the Swiss Business Hub USA (SBH USA). This is a locally recruited position within the SBH USA at the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York.

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Switzerland as a business location, a sound understanding of the key drivers that shape FDI decisions within companies, and be comfortable communicating and interacting with C-level executives.

Trade Commissioner for Investment Promotion with PR and Communication Focus

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Switzerland as a business location, a sound understanding of the key drivers that shape FDI decisions within companies, and be comfortable communicating and interacting with C-level executives. Given the special focus of this position on PR and communication, you will ideally have a marketing background as well as excellent English writing skills.
