The aim of this intervention is to support introduction of Integrated Water Resources Management principles in Uzbekistan through the National Water Resources Management Project, Phase II. It includes provision of necessary office equipment and targeted trainings to form RIDs potential as the main link with the end-users ensuring effective, sustainable water use and water monitoring at the local level based on the Information Communication and Water Saving Technologies. The video shows a good cooperation between the countries: while Switzerland is equipping each of 156 RIDs with furniture, computers, printers and special instruments, the Government of Uzbekistan contributes substantial financial resources for renovation and proper operation of RIDs offices.
