Promoting Market Oriented Skills Training in the Great Lakes region (PROMOST) : phase 2

PROMOST is a program promoting Market Oriented Skills Training in the Great Lakes region by improving the access to quality and market-relevant vocational training. In a first phase, the program improved access and quality of formal and informal vocational training in Rwanda. The second phase will consolidate results in Rwanda, develop alternative vocational training options in Burundi and South Kivu, and further regional networking on TVET.

CCR Centre de Compétence Reconstruction

Les acquis développés en formation professionnelle sont transmis à la Coopération régionale (CR) pour son nouveau programme.

Support to the Dominican Solid Waste Management Corporation for the operationalisation of a PET shredder in the aftermath of tropical storm Erika

To ensure the collection and shredding of over 200’000 PET water bottles distributed in the aftermath of tropical storm Erika which are posing an environmental threat due to the lack of facilities to safely dispose these materials and to provide for the continuous recycling of PET material generated on a normal basis, meanwhile creating public awareness in secondary schools of PET waste disposal.

Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project (DRILP) – Phase III

DRILP Phase 3 will support the Government of Nepal to accelerate recovery and reconstruction following the devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015 and the major aftershock of 12 May 2015. The project will provide the Technical Assistance (TA) to implement the Asian Development Bank (ADB) financed Earthquake Emergency Assistance Project in rebuilding 450 kms of damaged roads in 12 districts[1] of Nepal and rehabilitate 200 kms of trails in two[2] districts.

WFP - Food Aid Swiss Dairy Products (Algeria)

Through the usage of food aid in the form of Swiss dairy products, Swiss Humanitarian Aid contributes to the prevention and treatment of malnutrition, undernourishment, and disease. The SDC’s Humanitarian Aid administers the credit granted by parliament for a yearly amount of some CHF 20 million destined for the purchase of Swiss dairy products and their use for the benefit of the needy. Its task is to ensure a sustainable, targeted, and closely monitored food aid.
