Due to the current pandemic situation COVID-19 , the consular activities of this Embassy continue but in a restricted manner. The access to our counters is limited.

Information regarding visa services
Information regarding entry into Switzerland
As of 13.09.2021, there are new entry restrictions for citizens of Kosovo.
Citizens of Kosovo who can provide proof upon departure / entry that they have been vaccinated with a recognized vaccine in accordance with COVID-19 Regulation 3, can entry Switzerland with a valid visa.
As of 13.09.2021 there are new entry restrictions for citizens of North Macedonia.
For non-vaccinated North Macedonian citizens, entering Switzerland is possible only if the criteria of a hardship case according to the SEM directive is met.
Starting from 27.09.2021 there are new entry restrictions for citizens of Albania.
For non-vaccinated Albanian citizens, entering Switzerland is possible only if the criteria of a hardship case according to the SEM directive is met.
Both North Macedonian and Albanian citizens can apply with the required documents for a Laissez-passé via firstname.lastname@example.org or have to provide the documents for the border control authority who decides whether the requirements of necessity have been met.
However, persons coming from Albania and North Macedonia may still enter Switzerland if they can prove that they have been vaccinated with a recognized vaccine.

All travelers are responsible for verifying the travel restrictions in place before departure.
Persons who already have a Schengen Visa C issued by Switzerland but were unable to use it due to the pandemic will not benefit a refund of the visa fee or a substitute visa free of charge.
Requests for family reunification / marriage preparation / studies
The Embassy allocates a limited number of appointments for applications for family reunification, marriage preparation and for studying in Switzerland. Please contact the Regional Consular Center Western Balkans by e-mail (email@example.com) to arrange an appointment. Please send a scan of your passport as well as a short description of the kind of application. The next available appointment will be allocated, based on the principle "first come, first served". Visa for France, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg
The suspension of the representation agreements with France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg has been lifted. Applying for a visa C for the mentioned countries will be possible again at TLScontact as of 19.07.2021.
All travelers are responsible for verifying the COVID-19 travel restrictions in place before departure.
The suspension of the representative agreement with Austria is still valid and therefore we kindly ask you to contact the Embassy of Austria in Kosovo directly regarding visa related matters.
We kindly ask you to respect the existing restrictions of the local authorities. This Embassy accepts no responsibility for any violations, as this is the personal responsibility of each individual. This Embassy cannot issue any special permits to reach the Embassy.

Possibility to return to Switzerland
If you are neither a Swiss national nor a foreign national with a valid residency permit in Switzerland, please note that you will be refused boarding of the flight and entry into/transit through Switzerland unless you meet one of the few criteria described here:
For flights out of Kosovo please check the flight schedule of the Airport in Pristina and contact directly the airlines for further information. Please be aware that the situation can change very quickly.
