Aiuto psicologico mirato per chi vive nella Striscia di Gaza

Nel Vicino Oriente nessun popolo soffre di disturbi mentali con la frequenza dei Palestinesi. Nella Striscia di Gaza le conseguenze politiche, economiche e sociali della chiusura compromettono la salute dei suoi abitanti. Il Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP), sostenuto dalla DSC, offre loro consulenze, corsi e terapie. Soltanto nel 2017 sono state aiutate più di 20’000 persone.

Programme d’appui au système de santé du Sud Kivu (PASS S-Kivu)

Les interventions suisses dans le domaine de la santé au Sud Kivu se concentrent sur l’appui au système public et sur la lutte contre la violence basée sur le genre. La Phase III du programme d’appui au système de santé du Sud-Kivu met l’emphase sur la qualité et l’accessibilité des soins primaires (y-inclus la santé materno-infantile et la santé reproductive des jeunes), et s’inscrit dans la continuité de l’approche systémique testée pendant les phases précédentes.

Good financial governance – accountability and mobilisation of state revenue

The project will address the challenge of efficient allocation of resources and lack of accountability in the financial management of public bodies. It plans to do so by improving external and internal audits, increasing local revenue mobilisation and strengthening local government-citizen dialogue on transparency and accountability issues. The project will be implemented by the GIZ and is funded by the European Union, Germany and Switzerland.

WASH Programme

The integrated and holistic approach that this programme takes to water is designed to address sanitational and health issues, and establish linkages between wastewater and agriculture. In this, the project keeps a focus on the basic humanitarian need of access to WASH services through capacity building and construction of infrastructure. Most of the activities will be implemented in the provinces of Kangwon, North and South Hangwhae in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Backstopping Mandate for Water

The backstopping mandate (BSM) for water contributes to the improved sustainability of SDC’s and its partners’ interventions in the water sector. It complements SDC’s internal capacities and competencies and empowers key stakeholders. The BSM for water mainly supports the Global Programme Water Initiatives (GPWI), and its work is thus aligned on its 2013-2017 strategic framework.

Partenariats pour l’exercice d’une gouvernance appropriée

Tirant les leçons de la crise de 2012-2013, le Mali veut se reconstruire à partir de ses régions en valorisant les diversités géographiques et sociales dans un pays uni. Dans cette démarche, la Suisse soutient les Conseils régionaux de Tombouctou et Mopti pour promouvoir l’économie des territoires d’une part et, d’autre part, pour renforcer la société civile et les autorités traditionnelles en matière de redevabilité et de transparence. Ce programme est une mise à l’échelle des acquis du portefeuille gestion publique locale de la DDC à Sikasso.

WFP - Food Aid Swiss Dairy Products (Algeria)

Through the usage of food aid in the form of Swiss dairy products, Swiss Humanitarian Aid contributes to the prevention and treatment of malnutrition, undernourishment, and disease. The SDC’s Humanitarian Aid administers the credit granted by parliament for a yearly amount of some CHF 20 million destined for the purchase of Swiss dairy products and their use for the benefit of the needy. Its task is to ensure a sustainable, targeted, and closely monitored food aid.

In line with the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles, Switzerland recognizes the necessity of predictable and flexible funding to respond to changing needs in humanitarian crises. SDC funding to WFP operations allows the World Food Programme (WFP) to respond proactively and to provide immediate food assistance in life-threatening situations.

Un’industria mineraria responsabile e sostenibile

Data l’importanza assunta dal settore minerario informale agli inizi degli anni 2000, il Governo mongolo, sostenuto dalla DSC, ha lanciato nel 2005 il progetto di sfruttamento minerario artigianale sostenibile, con il quale intende ufficializzare e legalizzare le attività minerarie e sviluppare le capacità dei minatori.

Access to safe water and sanitation is a human right, essential for poverty reduction, health, economic development and a life in dignity. The Department of Water and Sanitation in Developing Countries (Sandec) and the Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN) are long-term strategic partners of SDC, working towards universal access to water and sanitation on the global level, with a focus on the poor and marginalized, through applied research, transformative innovations, documentation of best practices, capacity development and networking.
