Willkommengruss des Botschafters (en)
Dear Internet User
Welcome to the webpage of the Embassy of Switzerland in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Switzerland and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are successful partners of long standing; hundreds of years ago personalities like Calvin and Erasmus linked our two countries together in a most profound way. These links grew stronger through the fact that both countries gained their sovereignty in the same year (1648). They instituted powerful economic ties and share crucial visions about the supremacy of international law in international relations, the protection of human rights, the role of the Red Cross, the importance of development co-operation in international relations and the role of international monetary policy, as well as common visions of society, including combating crime and pursuing creative policies on drugs and the central role of education and science.
I therefore hope that this webpage will answer your questions about the Switzerland of today, as well as giving you practical hints concerning practical matters.
Please let us have your comments, suggestions and feedback. We will always try to improve the service we provide.
And last but not least, do not forget to discover - or rediscover - Switzerland with your own eyes.
