Projekt abgeschlossen

World Food Programme (WFP) Pakistan is implementing livelihood and disaster risk reduction activities in selected areas of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). This is to address food insecurity, restore and rebuild livelihoods and develop disaster resilient communities to be able to better cope with future natural disasters. The seconded DRR expert will support WFP’s country team, to build the required level of capacities at the strategic planning and in field implementation.

Hintergrund

Pakistan is prone to recurring natural disasters, a challenge both for the government and the humanitarian community. SDC’s seconded DRR expert will support WFP to design and implement DRR interventions under the PRRO 200867 and is complementary to the financial contributions of SDC (both PPRO and the jointly implemented CBDRR project in Swat).
