The political upheavals have set in motion a lengthy and uncertain transition process in North Africa. Free elections and new constitutions are positive signs. However, past experience has shown that periods of social upheaval can last decades.

The 2011 uprisings have brought freedom for change. Since then, various social forces have been fighting to identify their visions for the future. Our panel consists of four high profile speakers, some of which have been active in this struggle since the very beginning. So, what are North Africa’s prospects compared to other transition processes?

How far is the transition process in Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco and Libya five years after the Arab uprisings? What are the prospects for the future?
