Caritas Morocco: Promotion of the rights of Sub-Sahara migrants in Morocco
Project completed
Morocco is a country of transit and destination for thousands of irregular migrants from Sub-Saharan origin. Despite the ratification of a number of international treaties on the rights of migrants, Morocco offers little to no protection for irregular migrants and refugees. The project aims at responding to the basic humanitarian needs of irregular sub-Saharan communities and at the same time promoting respect of the human rights of migrants by strengthening the capacities of public reception facilities and raising awareness of the general public.
