Changing course in global agriculture
Outcomes (objectives) of the phase: 1: An International Organization (e.g., FAO, UNEP) is mandated to propose actions to implement sustainable agriculture based on the findings of the IAASTD; 2: An intergovernmental, participatory, multi-stakeholder panel to regularly review agricultural knowledge, science and technology is established; 3: Three national or regional authorities endorse national policies and agricultural strategies that allow for effective, comprehensive and long-term planning of sustainable agricultural development; 4: The implementation of sustainable agriculture in binding agreements is strengthened.
