Ukraine Field Office Emergency Activities
After the SET phase, the SHA Base of Operation BoO in Lviv continues to coordinate and implement humanitarian projects targeted to the support of the most affected population in Ukraine in initiating new project lines, implementing ongoing activities and complementing the Swiss cooperation programme in the country.

Contexto | The outbreak of the war on the 24.02.2022 had a disruptive impact on all levels with unknown prospect. Because of the conflict more than 15.7 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance, over 7.7 million people are internally displaced, and more than 5.7 million have left the country to take refuge elsewhere. This requires a fast and coordinated response of national and international actors in a highly volatile context. Military actions continue to be unpredictable, the access to affected population remains variable. |

Thanks to the improved security situation, a Base of Operation (BoO) was opened in Lviv on 12.04.2022 and a team consisting of between 3 and 4 SHA members and several local employees was set up, with the aim of implementing projects in the areas of WASH, health and protection in alignment with the Swiss Cooperation Programme in Ukraine 2020-23. |
