Contexto |
Access to reproductive and sexual health and rights is seriously threatened for many women and hildren in developing countries. Especially in sub-Saharan Africa, the risk of dying during pregnancy and childbirth is highest in the whole word. In the Western Balkans, dying from domestic violence is one of the highest death risks for women and girls. Apart from insufficient health care facilities, gender based discrimination of women and girls is a key obstacle to achieving reproductive and sexual health and rights. Therefore besides improving basic health care for future mothers it is indispensable to develop measures that protect women’s rights and enlarge their room to manoeuvre. |
