- Lack of independent information for millions living in post-conflict and developing countries
- Challenges of local journalists to work independently
- In countries where it operates, Fondation Hirondelle’s media help restore dialogue between individuals, groups, and factions that are in conflict They thus contribute to the restoration of national unity and to peace building
- Acting as an icebreaker for other local media, they gradually build a community of professional journalists and a culture of public debate
- People living in crisis zones benefit from an efficient tool to mitigate and prevent conflicts. The information gap is filled.
