Didier Burkhalter, Swiss Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, discusses with Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, the situation in the country and confirms the readiness of the OSCE to assist Ukraine in the settlement of the crisis.
“I emphasised the importance of the engagement of all sides in a meaningful process”, Burkhalter says. In the meeting with Yanukovych, on the margins of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Burkhalter underlines the expertise of the OSCE to support measures towards a peaceful way out of the crisis.
