Relations between Switzerland and Suriname are good, but not intensive.

Key aspects of diplomatic relations

The two countries work together at the multilateral level from time to time. The volume of trade is modest: in 2015 Switzerland imported goods worth CHF 343.14 million, mainly precious stones and metals, and exports to Suriname amounted to CHF 1.66 million, mainly chemicals, related products and machinery. The Swiss Embassy in Caracas (Venezuela) represents Swiss interests in Suriname.
