PROSEDER, Promotion of Microinsurance for agricultural production

Projekt abgeschlossen

The Rural Economic Development Services Program (PROSEDER) is the consolidation, under a programmatic approach, of two SDC projects implemented in Bolivia: PROFIN and FOMEN.  During the coming phase, PROSEDER will operate with the following objectives: 1. At micro level, to contribute to the decrease in poverty of at least 12’000 rural producer households (about 50'000 people, including family members) by increasing their income (30%) and improving self-employment (80% of producers will improve their production processes). Here, SDC will leverage between 30 to 250% of its investment. 2. At meso level, to support participatory Local Economic Development processes (12 public-private and community coordination platforms will have the capacity to promote the production and marketing of agricultural products, in a participatory and transparent manner). Thus, benefiting indirectly the rural population of six departments and thereby achieving improvements in governance processes from municipal to departmental levels. SDC will leverage here up to 400% the amount invested. 3. At the macro level, policies and standards for a better territorial development will be supported.
